Vacancies - CHANGE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

 

The Ministry of Education Transformation (MEdT) is leading a comprehensive national effort to reimagine and modernize Barbados’ education system, building one that is fit for the future, inclusive, and resilient, and that empowers every learner to thrive in a rapidly changing world. As part of this ongoing transformation, MEdT is seeking to engage a Change Management Specialist within its Change Management Unit to support the design, coordination, and implementation of organizational change strategies that advance the goals of the Education Transformation Programme.

Key Responsibilities:
The Change Lead will:

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for the Ministry’s change management strategy.
  • Conduct stakeholder and impact analyses across key departments.
  • Develop and execute change management and associated communication plans.
  • Identify and mitigate change-related risks.
  • Support organizational readiness, training, and capacity development.
  • Produce regular progress reports for the Executive Management of the Ministry

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in organizational change management, preferably within the public sector or education sector.
  • Certification in Change Management (e.g., PROSCI, ACMP) or Project Management (PMP, Prince2) would be an asset.
  • Proven ability to lead complex transformation projects and manage multi-stakeholder engagement.

Duration: It is expected that the assignment will require a maximum of nine months (9) months.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (onsite and remote).
