GOVERNMENT NOTICE
Chinese Government Scholarship 2020
The Government of China is providing full scholarships to Barbadian Students in 2020 to pursue either undergraduate or postgraduate degree in China.
ELIGIBILITY
(a) Applicants must be citizens of Barbados and in good health.
(b) Applicants pursuing undergraduate studies must be under 25 years of age and possess a minimum of 5 CXC certificates at grades 1 or 2 general proficiency level.
(c) Applicants pursuing the Master’s degree must be under 35 years of age and hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least Lower 2nd class honours.
(d) Applicants pursuing a Doctoral degree must be under 40 years of age and hold a Master’s degree.
Successful applicants must be willing to study Chinese language for one to two years before pursuing their major studies in Chinese instructions.
Applicants are expected to meet their own travel to and from China.

Three (3) completed application form and relevant documents, of which one should be original, including the Foreign Physical Examination Form and the applicant’s birth certificate should be submitted no later than 10th January, 2020 to the Tertiary Section of the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training.
