As part of its activities to mark National Arbor Day 2015, the National Conservation Commission (NCC) is inviting primary and secondary school students to an environmental tour and plant propagation workshop at its Codrington, St. Michael headquarters.

On Thursday, September 24, primary school students are invited to an environmental tour of the NCC, and to attend the plant propagation workshop from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Then, on Friday, September 25, students of secondary schools will be invited to do a similar tour and workshop during the same period.

Students and teachers attending will also be given the opportunity to view and participate in the renewable energy and water harvesting projects, the apiary, fish pond and plant nursery. Students are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and bring an adequate supply of water.

Principals of primary and secondary schools are therefore asked to contact the PR/Marketing Department at the NCC at 425-1200, to confirm interest and participation by Friday, September 18. Only registered schools will be accommodated.
